What we recycle.

  • Personal and laptop computers and all cables

  • Tablets, notebooks, and palmtops

  • Computer monitors and parts e.x. internal hard drives and CD drives (We will wipe out the data for free & provide a detailed report before the HDD dismantle for raw materials)

  • Computer peripherals and accessories e.x. mice, keyboards, web cameras, USBs

  • Printers, faxes, scanners, and multi-functional devices

  • All televisions*

SGN Tech offers FREE computer and electronic waste recycling services at our location in Novi, Michigan, or Farmington Hills, Michigan for homeowners, businesses, schools, libraries, and hospitals.

SGN Tech accepts drop-offs between 12 PM and 5 PM Monday through Saturday.

*Our retail sites have limited space for collections, and it is, therefore, based on the available space available that they decide whether they accept TVs. As such, we recommend you call our store first to see if they will accept your TV. Alternatively, SGN Tech will be running dedicated TV collection events this year, or you can drop your TV off at one of our other TechCollect sites.

Green Recycle

All computers and electronics received at SGN Tech are individually processed and allocated for reuse or disassembled into their most basic components and used for raw materials.

Data Destruction

We offer secure destruction of sensitive data using DoD 5220.22-M or NIST 800.88 standards. If requested, the hard drives will be processed individually, removed, and rendered inoperable or sent for destruction. DoD 5220.22-M and NIST 800.88 standards info

Recycling Process

All computers & electronics received at SGN Tech are individually processed and allocated for reuse or disassembled into their most basic components. We do not use any harmful chemicals or discard any components into landfills. Once all of the electronics have been disassembled they are sorted and sent individually for proper recycling. If data security is of importance to the client, hard drives can be processed separately and securely destroyed.
